Wendy M. Reinke, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor in the Department of Education, School, & Counseling Psychology at the University of Missouri. She is the Founder and Co-Director of the Missouri Prevention Center and Co-Investigator of the Johns Hopkins Center for Prevention and Early Intervention (CPEI). Dr. Reinke's research interests include prevention of disruptive behavior problems in children and dissemination of evidence-based practices in schools. She is the developer of the Classroom Check-up (CCU) consultation model and principal investigator (PI) on an IES developmental project to create a web-based version of the CCU for large scale dissemination. In addition she is the principal Investigator on an IES efficacy trial to evaluate a teacher classroom management training program in over 100 elementary classrooms, and Co-PI on an IES funded efficacy trial of a universal classroom management program in middle schools. She has published extensively on supporting teachers with classroom management, and with prevention and early intervention of disruptive behavior problems in children. She is co-author of several books including Coaching Classroom Management (2008), Motivational Interviewing for Classroom Management: The Classroom Check-Up (2011), and Motivational Interviewing in Schools: Strategies for Engaging Parents, Teachers, and Students (2013).
