Kathy McNamara currently (2012) serves as Chairperson of the Department of Psychology at Cleveland (OH) State University, and has been a member of the School Psychology Program faculty since 1994. Her ongoing program of research addresses issues related to large-scale adoption of multi-tiered, data-driven instructional/intervention service models in schools. Kathy has published research on the fidelity of implementation of and parent reactions to consultative problem-solving. She also published research on the relationship between problem-solving consultation and special education eligibility rates, and co-authored a recent book on a case study approach to consultative probelm-solving. She is currently collecting data on school psychologists' engagement in multi-tiered service models in schools, and on elements of the model that are critical to successful implementation.
