Jessica Hoffman, PhD, NCSP is an associate professor at Northeastern University, where she directs the MS/CAGS and PhD programs in school psychology. Her research focuses on school-based strategies to promote healthier eating. She was the principal investigator of a 5-year NIH-funded research project to explore ways to promote fruit and vegetable consumption among elementary school students attending the Boston Public Schools. Since 2008, she has been the co-principal investigator of Healthy Kids, Healthy Futures (HKHF), a community-based obesity prevention initiative for preschool children in Boston, MA. She is also a co-investigator of the NOURISH study (Nutrition Opportunities to Understand Reforms Involving Student Health), a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation funded study to explore the effects of rigorous competitive school food and beverage standards in Massachusetts. In 2007 Dr. Hoffman received the Lightner Witmer Award from the American Psychological Association (Division 16) for exceptional early career scholarship. She serves on the Executive Committee (Vice President-Membership) of APA's Division 16. She is a licensed psychologist and certified school psychologist in Massachusetts.
