Elaine Clark, Ph.D., is Professor and Chair of the Department of Educational Psychology at the University of Utah, and former Director of Training of the School Psychology program. Her current research is in the area of the identification of autism spectrum disorders (ASD), in particular females with normal intelligence, and assessment of comorbid psychiatric disorders. Other projects currently underway include those that pertain to functional assesment of bullying behaviors, especially targeting children with ASD, and social skills interventions and psychological treatment of children and adolescents with ASD. Dr. Clark is the Principal Investigator (PI) or co-PI on three Office of Special Education Programs grants, one of which prepares future school psychology faculty. The other two are intended to prepare school psychologists to conduct state of the art assessments and design interventions for students with ASD. She is a Fellow of APA, past-president of Division 16, and vice-president for Education, Training, and Scientific Affairs.
