Inclusive Assessment

Inclusive assessment is the broad collection of methods (e.g., rating scales, test modifications, accommodations) used to assess the achievement of students with special needs that impair how well tests work for them. It is data-based assessment in that the focus is on developing measures that work as well for students with functional impairments (e.g., slow reading fluency on a timed science test) as most measures work for students without such impairments.
